The CAES Business
Office is a college-wide support unit that reports to the Dean and Director of the College
of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. This office is responsible for the development
of annual legislative budget requests, and the overview of business operations for the
College's teaching, research and extension functions. All departmental personnels, budget amendments, purchase and check requests, travel authority, payroll, etc. flow through this office. In addition, the Business Office processes all hatch research project proposals and grant proposals, prepares all the reports that the college is required to file and any adhoc reports as needed, processes orders for CAES publications, and provides benefits assistance and retirement counseling to all CAES personnel. We are available to answer questions regarding UGA and CAES policies and procedures as well as to provide assistance in completing any documents. We also support users in their use of all financial information systems applications in use on the UGA Campus.
