College-wide Distribution Lists

Purpose
The purpose of these lists is to make sure that those who need information receive it. These are not vehicles for confidential information. And, they are not indications of any individual's classification.

Remember these lists have been set up to facilitate statewide distribution of official mail to faculty, staff, and administrators. They have not been set up for discussion purposes so any reply message is returned to the original sender only and not to the entire list. Use of the lists should be for official uses only and can easily be monitored.

Recipients of electronic mail often complain about receiving "junk" mail. Therefore, message originators should consider their audience carefully before sending a message. It is a good idea to ensure that the information being sent is pertinent to all, or almost all, members of the list.
